The flight #BA402 departed London Heathrow on Sunday, August 25 2024. This British Airways service makes a 45-minute stop in Cyprus then and flies towards Tel Aviv.
The Airbus A321-200 (registration G-TNEA) turned around over Hungary when British airways decided to cancel the flight.
The aircraft was diverted back to Heathrow due to recent situation in Israel. Tel Aviv airport re-opened but there are still a passel of airlines who have chosen not to go there.
British Airways decided to halt flight to Israel until Aug 28.
