Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Houston is declaring an emergency.

Lufthansa flight #LH440 has declared an emergency over UK and turned around.

The Boeing 747-8 departed Frankfurt today at 10:48 CEST then climbed to 32,000 ft toward Scotland.

Close to Aberdeen, the aircraft (registration D-ABYT) turned around. The crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700).

The Boeing 747 is 9 years old. It was stored from March 2020 to June 2021.
