A Trigana Air jetliner on Tuesday was evacuated at Sentani International Airport due to an engine fire.

A Trigana Air Boeing 737-500 (registration PK-YSC) flight was cancelled at Sentani International Airport in Jayapura, Papua, due to an engine fire.

Four out of 121 passengers aboard Trigana Air flight 237 bound for Wamena in Highland Papua were injured in the incident that occurred at 11:21 a.m. local time (UTC +9).

There are no fatalities in the incident, but some passengers were injured,” Eka remarked, adding that the injuries occurred when passengers scrambled to exit the plane through emergency doors.
