Passengers of Qatar Airways flight from Athens to Doha were stuck in a plane for hours during extreme heatwave.
Monday, June 10 2024, Qatar Airways flight #QR204 was delayed due to a “technical issue” according to the airline.
As the air conditioning malfunctioned, passengers were not allowed to leave the plane during more than three hours.
Several passengers were literally dehydrating and passing out before people were finally allowed to disembark.
A rescue flight departed Athens the next day. The Boeing 777-300ER (registration A7-BAL) departed at 06:43 EEST and arrived almost 4 hours later as the plane flies over Turkey and Iraq.
