Delta Air Lines (DL) Boeing 737-800 has been forced to land back at New York (JFK) following the bird strike.

The US-based carrier Delta Boeing 737 experienced a bird strike immediately after takeoff from JFK. The aircraft involved in this incident has the registration N386DA, which is around 24 years old metal bird.

Delta Air Lines flight DL838 was bound for San Diego airport (SAN). However, due to a bird strike, it was forced to land back at New York airport.

The aircraft took off from JFK New York’s runway 22R, and birds struck the plane shortly after takeoff. Delta Air Lines has regular flights between JFK, New York and San Diego (SAN).
